Kefron Group sponsorship gives Ballyfermot students free access to Studyclix.ie

Studyclix, Ireland’s leading teaching and learning website, has teamed up with Dublin company Kefron Group to provide students from a Ballyfermot school free access to its services.

Up to 250 students from St. Seton’s Secondary School in Ballyfermot have been accessing Studyclix.ie for free, courtesy of Kefron Group. This gave students access to expert exam tips, videos, quizzes and all past papers for both Junior and Leaving Certificate categorised by topic, making it a key resource for their exam preparation this year.

Studyclix.ie is Ireland’s largest study and teaching website with 233,000 second-level students and 29,000 teachers registered as users.

The online resource simplifies the study process by breaking each subject down into topics. For each topic past exam questions, marking schemes, quizzes and videos are available. In a recent survey of Leaving Cert points attained, Studyclix users scored an average of 127 points more than the national average.

Support from local businesses such as Kefron Group contributes to reducing educational disadvantage in the community as it means all students in schools such as St. Seton’s benefit from the resources available on the website, not only for those who are able to purchase the packages themselves.

Kefron Group is a family-owned Dublin-based business that was set up in 1989, offering Ireland’s first-ever self-storage and records centre services. It has grown to become a major international business group, offering its clients high-tech data and document storage services.

Commenting on the partnership with Studyclix and St. Seton’s, Sarah Arthurs, Head of People & Performance at Kefron Group, said: “As a family business, having a positive impact on our local community is something that has always been very important to us. Facilitating access to Studyclix for more than 250 students from St. Seton’s who are undertaking their Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert examinations is one more way for us to grow our meaningful community connections. We are proud to play a role in preparing local students for their future success.”

St. Seton’s is a newly established secondary school since September 2023, arising from the amalgamation of three local schools in Ballyfermot. The school is committed to helping each student reach their full personal potential and aspires to build a strong track record of helping students achieve their first-choice course in third-level education, further education and apprenticeships.

Sarah Green, Principal of St. Seton’s Secondary School, said: “For St Seton’s, Studyclix offers an invaluable resource to our students that supports their learning, allows them to connect with other students and reduces in part the stress associated with revision for state exams. By using Studyclix, our students are accessing practical tips and guides that can be accessed remotely and scaffold the work done in the classroom. The school is proud to partner with Studyclix and is grateful for the community support provided to our school by Kefron Group.”

Luke Saunders, Studyclix co-founder and CEO, said: “We are delighted to be working with leading businesses such as Kefron Group to make our full range of digital learning and study tools available to DEIS schools. This in turn will have a major impact on levelling the playing field in Irish education.”
